The Ice Capade Escapade!

Last week Jonathan, Hannah, Josiah and I were treated to the Disney-on-ice performance. Gramma, in her annual tradition, took us along with Tracie and her four kids to the Ice Capades. It was so much fun! The best part is watching the kids watch the capades! They were enthralled.

The Disney stories that were part of the performance were: the Lion King (what a great soundtrack!), The Little Mermaid (beautiful costumes, although Josiah commented that the ladies were a bit immodest--only wearing shells y'know!) 101 Dalmatians (they actually had 101 dogs--most were one dog-costumed skater with a dummy-dog attached on either side, although a few had 3 dogs on each side. Must have been tough to get through a door with that get-up on!!), Peter Pan (pictured below are the children with Peter Pan flying to Neverland, and also the great Pirate Ship with Captain Hook), and Lilo and Stitch. All were well done, with beautiful costumes and some fancy skating. The Little mermaid was my personal favourite--shells notwithstanding;))

Josiah treated us all to Cotton candy with some of this birthday money, and he got to keep the hat that came with it!

After the show we went out to McDonalds for a snack before heading home. Thanks for a great evening, Gramma!
