Technologically savvy... or not so much

In our home, we favour the idea that children should begin from a very young age to learn to use the tools available so as to alleviate difficulties in life, and begin a trend towards ease in chores and joy in play. As such, Matthew is now capable of using the IPOD so that he can make good use of his waking hours. Here he is pictured not wasting a walking moment, but carefully viewing the screen to see the... er... Pixar movie :)

Sometimes, however, so very sadly, our finest efforts to teach our children due diligence with the tools of the home results in this:
I happed upon this situation after I had asked Josiah to vacuum in the kitchen. Apparently one has to wrap one's self around the hose to make it most viable for its exit from the cupboard.
