The Hopewell Rocks are along the New Brunswick Coastline in the Bay of Fundy. They are reported to have the highest tides in the world: the water rises 50 feet during high tide. The tides change every 6 hours, and for 3 hours before and after low tide you can walk "along the ocean floor" after descending several flights of stairs.
We arrived at the "Planters" as they are sometimes called, just after high tide, and took some pictures as close as we could get to the bottom.
4 hours later we returned, close to low tide, and walked around among the rocks and in the mud. 
Jonathan and Josiah both got stuck (very sticky mud!)
Hannah and Josiah tried crawling the rocky walls, but in most places there were ropes up for fear of erosion.
When it was high tide, the arch in this picture could be touched by someone in a canoe. Amazing!
God's creation is so incredible--so varied throughout the world. We thoroughly enjoyed this day on the ocean floor.

That looks so beautiful! Glad you had fun! I love how you say "down East". We say "down East" for Ontario....LOL!
down east for Ontario would be more appropriate because we had to travel quite far north to get to the Maritimes--but I'm told it is the appropriate lingo ;)
