This year we have been studying Swimming Creatures of the Fifth Day. As part of the study, we made "Ocean Boxes" and added a clay creature for each of the creatures we have studied. We usually work on the project in the evening, after the little boys are in bed :)
Here is Josiah's Ocean Box

Yesterday we had a Seafood dinner (greatly enjoying dominion over God's Creation :)
But first, we checked out the sea creatures' anatomy...
Did you know that shrimp are very similar to lobsters, only much smaller? Hard to see it when they are missing their heads, but it's true!
Here is the dominion part !
Everyone had a taste... the lobster was well liked, but the mussels and the clams... not so much. The kids were trying to figure out what all the parts were... and that doesn't bode well for the appetite!

The kids projects look great... how much fun it must have been to do the meal theme with it too. I still haven't heard anything about the lobster head... hopefully they find it before Sunday! hehehe :)
Wow! Great work guys!!!! Makes schooling look fun-I'm getting a little nervous as that phase approaches for our family.
